R+D+I | BioInsecticides

Research
We study the genetic diversity of entomopathogenic agents to develop realistic and effective alternatives for pest control.

Development
We develop innovative biological control agents with the purpose of reducing or eliminating the application of synthetic chemical pesticides and, as a consequence, improve food safety.

Innovation
We design new Active Ingredients (AI) to give the best biological solution to every problem caused by pests.
BIOINSECTIS SL

Providing natural solutions

Launched in 2016 as a spin off company of the Universidad Pública de Navarra, BIOINSECTIS SL promotes the development of novel microbial pesticides, through strategic collaborations with companies that wish to incorporate microbial-based products into their catalogue.
Combining our knowledge of the diversity and genetic structure of insect pathogen populations with the molecular and biological characteristics of their genotypic variants, we adopt unique and innovative approaches to the development of insecticides. These contain novel active ingredients with an increased efficacy and enhanced range of insecticidal action and are formulated so that they preserve their insecticidal potency when stored at room temperature.
About

BIOINSECTIS SL is a spin off genuinely specialized in the development of new microbial insecticides with improved insecticide characteristics.
What we offer

We develop residue-free biological insecticides that are environmentally friendly.
Microbial insecticides

Wild populations of arthropods, including those that cause important pests, suffer diseases caused by a wide variety of pathogens. Some of these agents (viruses, bacteria, fungi, etc.) offer realistic and effective alternatives for the control of important agro-forestry, urban and other pests of veterinary-medical interest. The development of microbial insecticides is a necessity since it can reduce or eliminate the current dependence on chemical pesticides and, therefore, improve agri-food safety, public health and the conservation of the environment.
